Sunday Musings: It's Time
Have you ever heard a voice in your head telling you to do something different, something out of your comfort zone? Did you swat the voice away, only for it to come back weeks or months later? Then one day, the voice says, “It’s time.” And although you’re freaked out, you understand that the voice - wherever it’s coming from - is not going to go away until you do what it tells you.
That’s what happened today at approximately 9:05 AM Eastern Time. A voice popped into my head and told me it’s time to do what I’ve been talking about doing for a long time. No more stalling.
It’s time to take The Critical Reader up several more notches, time for a minimum of five articles a week and time to achieve what this newsletter has always intended, which is to help readers avoid the murk and confusion to discover the truth through intelligent discernment.
Can I get your help? Please keep reading, liking and sharing The Critical Reader. Let’s get the newsletter to 500 subscribers by May 1. (I just made up that deadline, but it seems doable.) Offer suggestions for stories to cover that will have mass appeal. Leave comments whenever you can.
The goal is for The Critical Reader to eventually offer paid subscriptions, which will help cover the cost of traveling to locations where news is happening and to allow for different writing opportunities. More on that later.
I’ll end with a little motivation. If you’ve been hearing a similar voice telling you to step out of your comfort zone, don’t ignore it. Take the chance and see where it leads. You won’t know what the result will be until you make that first step. It’s time.
See you tomorrow.
